Basic charge

The basic charge is based on the waste tariff order (Waste tariff) approved by the Waste Committee and is based on the Waste Act (Waste Act, chapter 9, section 78(3)). The basic charge is collected once a year from every permanent and free-time residents located in the LHJ´s operating area. The charge is based on the number of housing units on the property and whether or not the property has permanent residents. The charge covers the common and equal basic waste management services based on the Waste Act, including:

  • reception of hazardous waste from households and farms free of charge
  • Counselling and environmental education for households, daycare centres, schools, associations free of charge
  • maintenance of waste stations and recycling points
  • the Waste Committee’s work and development of waste management

Basic charge for waste management 2026 (incl. 25,5% VAT)

Permanent residency 37,00 /year

Permanent residency with at least five housing units 32,50 € / housing unit / year

Free-time residency and vacant permanent residencies 24,00 € /year

From January 1, 2024, paper invoices also include a 2 euro billing fee. You can avoid the invoicing fee by using an e-invoice. You can order an e-invoice using the information from the previous invoice. If the invoice is no longer stored, you can request a copy of the invoice from our customer service.
