Bring to a waste station or return to the store
You can return waste electrical and electronical equipment (WEEE) to official reception points, such as LHJ’s waste stations, completely free of charge. In addition to our waste stations, several stores that sell electrical and electronical equipment also accept WEEE for free. For example, it is nowadays easy to return small broken electronical equipment to the store during a shopping trip.
Companies and public administratives can bring WEEE to LHJ’s waste stations free of charge when the waste batch corresponds to waste generated by households in terms of the quality and amount of waste. Larger batches require a separate agreement.
Waste electrical and electronical equipment is waste subject to producer responsibility. This means that the manufacturers and importers of the equipment are required to organise the collection, recycling and reuse of the equipment without a separate charge. The costs incurred from collection are covered with the recycling charge included in the price of new equipment.
