Collection of discarded textiles

Loimi-Hämeen Jätehuolto’s waste stations accept discarded textiles for a charge. In our operating area, discarded textiles are also accepted by Huittinen Library, Wanha Meijeri and Tex vex Forssa.

Before bringing in discarded textiles, please read the sorting instruction carefully:

• Discarded textiles refer to clean and dry, unusable, broken or worn-out clothing and household textiles.
• Textiles that are NOT accepted include underwear, socks, pillows, blankets, padding, rugs, belts, bags and shoes as well as textiles that are wet, mouldy, infested with insects or have a strong odour. These textiles should be sorted into energy waste or mixed waste. 

You can bring discarded textiles to collection points free of charge when the discarded textiles are packed in a closed plastic bag that only contains textiles accepted for collection. If you bring other textile waste to an LHJ waste station, a charge will be collected according to the price list.
