Waste management regulations
The municipal waste management authority can issue general regulations applicable to the municipality or a part of it on account of local conditions if necessary to implement the Waste Act. Waste management regulations guide the practical implementation of waste management in municipalities.
The Waste Committee decides on the common waste management regulations followed in its operating area. These regulations concern subjects such as sorting and separate collection of different waste types, collection tools and emptying frequencies, the use of shared waste containers, and composting.
