Let’s recycle correctly together! 

Finland will face a major recycling challenge in the next few years, as we need to increase the waste recycling rate from 43 % to more than 55 % in just over three years. But there is no reason to worry because as long as everyone improves their sorting even a little bit, we will be close to meeting this goal! 

Did you know that you do not have to practise recycling alone and that you can ask the experts of Loimi-Hämeen Jätehuolto for help? We provide the residents in our operating area with a free-of-charge waste management information service that is available by phone and email and via our social media channels and website. We also actively attend various events and go to educational institutions to teach people how to sort their waste. 

Loimi-Hämeen Jätehuolto offers environmental education free of charge to the schools and daycare centres in its operating area.

This education focuses on sustainable choices from the perspective of sorting and recycling in particular. Our most popular environmental education methods include site visits, practical sorting exercises and various games, not to mention visits by our mascot, the fox Loimu!
