Designation of reception points for municipal waste collected through property-specific waste collection

All waste for which the municipality is responsible for arranging collection must be delivered to a reception and processing point designated by the municipality in accordance with the Waste Act and regional waste management regulations. Loimi-Hämeen Jätehuolto Oy maintains common waste reception points and designates waste type specific reception points on behalf of its shareholder municipalities. Loimi-Hämeen Jätehuolto also accepts business waste that falls under the municipality’s secondary responsibility.

Waste types under the municipality’s responsibility include waste generated by households, municipal waste generated by social and healthcare services and education activities as well as municipal waste generated by the public administrative and service operations of associations governed by public law.
